Well we’re back from our week-long tour of nearby wine country. \u00a0In summary? \u00a0One week is too long. \u00a0Long weekend perhaps. \u00a0There’s a few issues that led us to this decision. \u00a0For one thing, honestly you can only taste so much wine. \u00a0By day three we were pretty much like “Yep, that’s more wine. \u00a0Great. \u00a0Next.” \u00a0We tried to mix in a few other activities, like hiking and biking, but at the end of the day, it’s a wine-centric area. \u00a0The other problem was, the prices are insanely exorbitant. \u00a0You hit three or four wineries a day, plus food and gas, your wallet is going to take an absolute beating. \u00a0Donette couldn’t seem to quit drawing the parallel that we could have easily stayed in Hawaii for the same money. \u00a0Yeah thanks for pointing that out. \u00a0This is not to say we didn’t have a good time. \u00a0We’ll just cut it a little shorter next time. \u00a0Live and learn, as they say.<\/p>\n
Another “interesting” feature of our vacation was we stayed in a “tiny home.” \u00a0Some may use the term “single wide” but tiny home sounds so much hipper. \u00a0We’ve 1\/2-jokingly thought of moving into a tiny home some day, so this was kind of our test run. \u00a0Four hundred square feet of luxury living. \u00a0It was OK. \u00a0One big drawback, apparently tiny homes have tiny beds. \u00a0We quickly decided our full-size bed days are well behind us. \u00a0We’re big proponents of the “sprawl” type of sleeping, and this little cot wasn’t about to accommodate that. \u00a0We were relatively sleepless the whole week. \u00a0Again: \u00a0Live and learn.<\/p>\n
