I just ain’t feeling it, sorry.\u00a0 I’ve been somewhat sick, and as such entertainment has been severely curtailed.\u00a0 I did go on a great four-day weekend to Nebraska, but that was two weeks ago.\u00a0 As a matter of fact, I’m blaming the freezing weather we endured there on my current state of health.\u00a0 Make no mistake, I had a great time visiting my friends, but nobody should live in that kind of temperature.\u00a0 Wow.<\/p>\n
In the absence of entertaining activities to relate, someone might find interest in one of my latest “projects.”\u00a0 Actually, I am relatively certain that nobody, with the possible exception of Senor Godwin<\/a>, will have any interest what-so-ever.\u00a0 But, I’m going to throw it in here anyway.\u00a0 So, several weeks ago we decided to, as they say, “cut the cord.”\u00a0 It was with great glee that I finally called my arch-nemesis DirectTV and said “TURN IT OFF.”\u00a0 The only downside I could find to this decision was a nice 65″ TV in the living room, with nothing to show on it.\u00a0 And so, after a little research, I purchased an over-the-air antennae and a HDHomeRun device, for less than the price of a single months cable bill.\u00a0 The antennae is just a run of the mill, well, antennae.\u00a0 It pulls in a respectable 32 channels, which is not bad considering we live in the boondocks.\u00a0 Most importantly I get great reception on my favorite channel, MeTV.\u00a0 Think Andy Griffith, The Rifleman, Bonanza, Gunsmoke…\u00a0 Pretty much the only TV worth watching.\u00a0 I then plugged said antennae into the HDHomeRun device, which then connects to my home network and voila, TV on any network device in the house.\u00a0 For free!\u00a0 Por nada!\u00a0 Zilch!\u00a0 Wonderful times we live in, people.\u00a0 I’ve also provided myself a means of watching Mizzou sports and the all important Monday Night Raw, but I can’t tell you about that.\u00a0 Shhhhhhh.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
