{"id":733,"date":"2010-07-27T08:29:20","date_gmt":"2010-07-27T13:29:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pkenagy.com\/blog\/?p=733"},"modified":"2010-07-27T08:29:20","modified_gmt":"2010-07-27T13:29:20","slug":"the-alley","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pkenagy.com\/blog\/the-alley\/","title":{"rendered":"The Alley"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last night we rode our bikes up to <a title=\"75th Street\" href=\"http:\/\/www.75thstreet.com\" target=\"_blank\">75th Street<\/a> for some dinner.\u00a0 For a while we were going there every Monday night but we kind of fell out of the habit.\u00a0 Or went broke, or something like that.\u00a0 Whatever the reason, we decided we needed to get back up there and check out their new patio area, which they&#8217;ve named &#8220;The Alley.&#8221;\u00a0 Actually we&#8217;ve sat out there many times before;\u00a0 It&#8217;s been open since the Big 12 basketball tourney.\u00a0 Apparently it wasn&#8217;t &#8220;officially&#8221; open though, because they had a big grand opening deal a few weeks ago.\u00a0 Basically they took the building that was attached to the brewery on the east side (which has been vacant since the big fire several years ago) and tore the roof off it.\u00a0 Half of it is covered, and the other half is open, with big glass overhead doors dividing the two areas.\u00a0 They&#8217;ve planted hops all around the open area, which are growing like crazy and should cover it at some point later this fall.\u00a0 The only downside was they seem to have decided that since they call it a &#8220;deck&#8221; it&#8217;s OK to smoke, even in the covered area.\u00a0 Hmmm&#8230;\u00a0 It&#8217;s totally enclosed, (the overhead doors where shut,) has a solid roof over it, and doors for entrances.\u00a0 Oh well, it wasn&#8217;t a big deal last night as there was only one person smoking and the luxury of the air conditioning made up for it.\u00a0 We tried out the Saison shrimp with risotto and a big plate of calamari for dinner.\u00a0 Good stuff.\u00a0 I&#8217;m sure we burned off all the calories on the 1\/2-mile ride back home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last night we rode our bikes up to 75th Street for some dinner.\u00a0 For a while we were going there every Monday night but we kind of fell out of the habit.\u00a0 Or went broke, or something like that.\u00a0 Whatever the reason, we decided we needed to get back up there and check out their [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"ngg_post_thumbnail":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-733","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-current-events"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.pkenagy.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/733","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.pkenagy.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.pkenagy.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.pkenagy.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.pkenagy.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=733"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.pkenagy.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/733\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.pkenagy.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=733"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.pkenagy.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=733"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.pkenagy.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=733"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
